Nigeria’s Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, has unveiled his 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Cyber Reporters reports that the team features a mix of seasoned internationals and emerging talents, all geared towards securing Nigeria’s spot in the World Cup.

The squad boasts goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali from Chippa United and Kayode Bankole of Remo Stars, both of whom have impressed in their respective leagues.

The defense is anchored by experienced players like William Ekong, Calvin Bassey, and Olaoluwa Aina, alongside Bruno Onyemaechi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Igoh Ogbu, who bring diverse experiences to the table.

The midfield is reinforced by prominent talents such as Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Raphael Onyedika, Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi, and Joseph Ayodele-Aribo, who add depth and creativity to the team.

Notably, home-based midfielder Papa Daniel Mustapha of Niger Tornadoes has also made the cut, reflecting Chelle’s commitment to nurturing local talent.

The attacking front is spearheaded by Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface, Simon Moses, Sadiq Umar, and Tolu Arokodare, all of whom are pivotal in their respective clubs’ attacking strategies.
