Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy has sparked outrage online by harshly criticizing fellow musician Davido in response to an unwarranted remark from one of his fans.
The incident occurred when a 30BG (30 Billion Gang, Davido’s fan base) supporter posted a photo of Davido as their profile image on social media, mocking Burna Boy for losing all four Grammy nominations.
The Twitter user whose profile included Davido’s photo launched a direct attack on Burna Boy, calling him an ‘ode’.
“Ode, “Bottled 4 Grammys,” the Twitter user wrote.
Instead of getting angry with the 30BG fan, Burna Boy shifted the attention to the fan’s profile picture choice.
Burna Boy wrote: The actual Joke is in your Display Pic.”
The cryptic response has triggered mixed reactions on social media.
