Don Jazzy Gives Business Nuggets Following His Million-Dollar Deal With UMG

Popular Nigerian music producer, Don Jazzy has given a striking message to entrepreneurs following his unprecedented partnership with Universal Music Group (UMG).

UMG has finalised an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Don Jazzy’s record label (Mavins).

According to estimates, the transaction between Don Jazzy and UMG is around $200 million (about N153 billion).

In response to the deal, Don Jazzy took to social media to deliver a message of inspiration and encouragement for entrepreneurs looking to achieve their goals.

In a video posted to his Instagram page, he emphasised the significance of dreaming big, starting small, and remaining consistent in the face of adversity.

Addressing fellow entrepreneurs, Don Jazzy wrote; “Dear Entrepreneurs,

“Dream big, start small, but most importantly, start. Know why you started and keep going no matter how rough it gets cos trust me there would be tough times. There will be distractions too but you see me I stay minding my business.”
