Chelsea on Saturday made history after thrashing Port Vale 7-0 in the FA Cup quarter-final tie.

Recall that goals from Jorrel Hato, João Pedro, Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel (own-goal), Tosin Adarabioyo, Andrey Santos, and Estêvão ensured Chelsea progressed to the semi-final stage of the FA Cup.

However, according to OptaJoe, Chelsea are the first team to score 7 plus goals in an FA Cup quarter-final game since Liverpool defeated Birmingham City 7-0 in 2005-06.

Also, the outcome of the match means Chelsea have scored 3 plus goals in the first half of a game for a fifth time this season in all competitions, more than any other Premier League side.

The Blues will now face Manchester City in the Premier League next Sunday.
