Celtic head coach, Brendan Rodgers, has provided an injury update on Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho picked up an injury in the Hoops UEFA Europa League 2-1 victory over Austrian club, Sturm Gruz on Thursday night.
The Nigerian international was replaced early in the game due to the setback.
Rodgers confirmed that the forward sustained a hamstring injury and could be sidelined for a lengthy period.
“The first two [Iheanacho and Johnston]? It doesn’t look great. It looks like hamstrings. But okay, that’s what happens,” Rodgers told TNT Sports.
Iheanacho moved to Celtic Park on a free transfer this summer.
He has established himself as the club’s first-choice striker.
