Sunday Dare has lauded President Tinubu’s administration for taking bold steps to address Nigeria’s economic challenges, describing the removal of fuel subsidies and other reforms as “audacious moves.”

Dare who is the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Public Communications and Orientation, noted that his principal had taken the road less traveled by rolling out these policies, aimed at fixing long-standing problems.

“Tinubu is adept at governance. [He is] a man who burns the midnight oil when other men of easy virtue are carousing around.

“This is a man I worked with for seven years and we sleep at 4, 5, 6 in the morning.”

Cyber Reporters recall that these reforms have sparked intense debate and protests, with many Nigerians feeling the harsh effects of the policies.

In August and October, demonstrations were held, calling on the president to reconsider the reforms amidst worsening economic conditions.

Despite this, President Tinubu remained committed to his reforms, urging Nigerians to be patient and promising long-term benefits.

The Nigeria Labour Congress has criticized these policies, questioning their impact on the economy and citizens’ welfare.

The congress argues that the subsidy removal and price hikes have led to inflation, increased transportation costs, and a higher cost of living, disproportionately affecting workers and pensioners.

President Tinubu acknowledges the difficulties posed by his administration’s reforms but believes they are crucial for Nigeria’s economic recovery.
