Trabzonspor has confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Andre Onana from Manchester United on a season-long loan deal.

It was reported that the goalkeeper’s full wages are to be covered by Trabzonspor.

After a series of errors, Onana had lost his Premier League starting spot at United and now leaves the club following the £18.2m arrival of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on Deadline Day.

Onana made just one appearance for United so far this season, which arrived in the defeat to League Two side Grimsby Town on penalties in the Carabao Cup.

Altay Bayindir has started all three of United’s Premier League fixtures against Arsenal, Fulham, and Burnley so far, without keeping a clean sheet.

United signed Onana in a £47.2m deal from Inter Milan in July 2023.
