Former striker for Chelsea and Arsenal, Olivier Giroud reportedly had his home broken into in Los Angeles, and the robbers took goods valued at around €500,000 (₦787 million).

The 2018 World Cup champion, who currently plays Major League Soccer for LAFC, was not home when the break-in happened, but his family’s opulent belongings were taken.

On February 5, 2024, thieves broke through a window to enter Giroud’s California home, according to rumors from TMZ Sports and L’Equipe.

His wife, Jennifer Giroud was the first to report the crime to local authorities. Among the stolen items were over ten expensive men’s watches and other costly stuff.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has initiated an investigation, although no arrests have been made thus far.
