Anthony Joshua, the two-time world heavyweight boxing champion, has set his sights on reclaiming his title for a third time and facing off against Tyson Fury in 2025.

Cyber Reporters understands that Joshua disclosed this during a visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos on Wednesday.

Joshua shared his ambitions with reporters, stating, “My target is to become a three-time world champion and fight Tyson Fury in 2025”.

The heavyweight champion reflected on his past defeats, but expressed a renewed determination to achieve his goals.

“I should have won those matches, but I didn’t. I can’t stop now; I have to keep going until I reach my destination,” he said.

The British-Nigerian fighter is currently in Nigeria for the holiday season and has been warmly received by President Tinubu and his team.

Looking ahead to 2025, Joshua emphasized the importance of maximizing opportunities and building on lessons from the past year.

“Hunger makes you want to work harder because time is limited. Looking back at 2024, I believe I could have done more, and now I have another chance in 2025. I’m going to make sure I take every opportunity,” Joshua said.

A potential bout with Tyson Fury is highly anticipated, and Joshua struck a cautious yet hopeful tone.

“We’ll see. Let us get in the ring. Only God knows, but for me, we’ll see in the future,” he remarked.

Joshua also extended a heartfelt message to Nigerians at home and abroad, urging them to cherish their roots and promising to contribute to local communities.
