The Academic Staff Union of Universities at Niger Delta University, owned by the Bayelsa State Government, has called for an indefinite strike in response to the government’s alleged inability to follow union agreements.

The strike was declared on Tuesday at a meeting at the union’s secretariat in Amassoma.

Details about the union’s grievances and the impact of the strike on academic activity at NDU are expected to emerge in the coming days.
