The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has appointed his long-time media aid, Friday Aghedo, as his Chief Press Secretary.

Musa Ikhilor, the Secretary to the state government, signed a letter on Friday that included this information. The letter states that the appointment is effective as of December 2, 2024.

Ikhilor said, “The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has appointed Friday Aghedo as his Chief Press Secretary. The appointment takes effect from December 2, 2024.”

Aghedo is said to bring his leadership and media management experience to the table.

Having served with his principal since 2019, when he was elected to the House of Representatives, and until his rise to the position of Deputy Governor, he will be at home with him.

Additionally, Aghedo has been the press secretary for Destiny Enabulele, the chairman of the Ovia South West Local Government Area.

He also worked to secure Governor Monday Okpbebholo’s win as the Deputy Director of the All Progressives Congress Governorship Campaign Council’s New Media Committee.

Aghedo graduated from the University of Benin with a Bachelor of Science (Ed) in Political Science and Public Administration.
