Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has publicly backed star forward Kylian Mbappe after his disappointing penalty miss in the team’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.

Despite the missed opportunity, Ancelotti expressed his unwavering support for Mbappe, saying he has the team’s full backing and will bounce back from the setback.

The match, played at Anfield, was filled with drama, including a penalty miss by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

However, Liverpool capitalized on a corner-kick situation, with Cody Gakpo extending their lead and securing the win.

In the post-match interview, Ancelotti acknowledged Liverpool as one of Real Madrid’s toughest opponents in the Champions League.

He praised his team’s performance, saying they competed well until the penalty incident, but lost momentum afterward.

Ancelotti reflected on the challenges of playing at Anfield, calling it one of the most difficult stadiums in Europe.

Despite the loss, he remained optimistic about his team’s performance, stating that Liverpool deserved their win.

The Real Madrid manager’s comments demonstrate his commitment to supporting his players, even in the face of adversity.

Mbappe, in particular, has been under scrutiny, but Ancelotti’s backing is a clear indication that the team believes in him.
