Nigerian music sensation Daniel Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kizz Daniel hints on an impending music sabbatical.

After revealing his eagerly awaited EP, Uncle K, scheduled to be released on November 29, 2024, the singer said he will take a hiatus from releasing new songs until 2026.

On his X handle on Friday, he said, “After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026.” This announcement sparked a rush of emotions from followers who shared their conflicted views about his decision to leave the music industry.

Amid the buzz around his sabbatical, the artiste shared a personal tragedy, revealing that his wife recently lost her mother to breast cancer. He appealed to his fanbase, the Vaddicts, for prayers in her honor.

Kizz Daniel rose to fame in 2014 with his debut single, “Woju”. He signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013 but left the label following a publicized contract dispute and court case. However, he founded the Flyboy I.N.C record label in November 2017.

In May 2018, Kizz Daniel announced that he had changed his stage name from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel, a name that immediately reflected on his social media accounts. In February 2023, Kizz Daniel won the Song of the Year award at the Soundcity MVP Awards with hit song “Buga”
