President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has warmly congratulated Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States, following his securing of over 270 electoral college votes.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed his eagerness to fortify the bond between Nigeria and the United States, particularly in addressing the complex challenges and opportunities of the modern world.

President Tinubu emphasized that Trump’s victory is a testament to the trust and confidence the American people have placed in his leadership.

Tinubu commended the American people for their commitment to democracy, stating, “Together, we can foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and address global challenges that affect our citizens.”

Moreover, President Tinubu believes that Trump’s experience as the 45th President will usher in a new era of beneficial economic partnerships between Africa and the United States.

Recognizing the United States’ significant influence on global events, President Tinubu trusts that Trump will bring peace and prosperity to the world.

This gesture of goodwill from President Tinubu comes after the United States had formally congratulated him on his own presidential win earlier this year, dispelling rumors of election fraud.
