President Bola Tinubu has announced that Nigeria has successfully received $30 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) commitments in less than two years under his administration.

Nuhu Ribadu, President Tinubu’s National Security Adviser, announced this while launching the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) 2024 conference in Abuja.

“In the significant search for Foreign Direct Investment, in less than two years in office, my administration has received over $30 billion in commitments from foreign investors”, according to him.

He stated that the administration set out with a clear vision to strengthen Nigeria’s economic basis, emphasizing the significant progress his administration has made.

According to him, “shortly, critics will have little to challenge”, highlighting recent stability that has boosted crude oil production to an outstanding 1.8 million barrels daily.

He went on to explain that the elimination of fuel subsidies and the unification of the currency rate system was intended to establish a more transparent and sustainable economic environment.

President Tinubu admitted that the policies forced citizens to make adaptations, but emphasized that they were necessary for the country’s long-term success.
