Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Super Falcons following their victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

In a statement released by the Super Eagles media team, Chelle, who assumed the role of head coach earlier this year, commended Madugu and his players.

The Nigerian women’s national team edged hosts Morocco 3-2 in a thrilling final played at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Saturday night, clinching their 10th WAFCON title, a record on the continent.

Led by coach Justine Madugu, the Super Falcons displayed resilience, technical discipline to overcome a partisan Moroccan crowd and reassert their dominance in African women’s football.
