FIFA President Gianni Infantino has extended warm congratulations to Donald Trump on his presidential win.

Cyber Reporters reports that this gesture comes after Trump secured 267 electoral votes, defeating vice president Kamala Harris.

Infantino took to Instagram to celebrate Trump’s return, sharing their photos.

Their cordial relationship, established during Trump’s first term, was solidified when the US won the right to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Infantino’s message read: “Congratulations, Mr President! We will have a great FIFA World Cup and a great FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America! Football Unites the World!”

This enthusiastic statement highlights the potential for a successful partnership between FIFA and the US under Trump’s leadership.

It’s worth noting that Trump’s victory marks a significant comeback, following his defeat by Joe Biden in 2020.

With less than two years until the World Cup, Trump’s return to office is expected to have a profound impact on the tournament’s success.
