After a 10-day blackout, electricity has been restored in Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, and Benue states, courtesy of the Jos Electricity Distribution (JED) franchise.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the power outage, caused by a tripped 330kV transmission line connecting Benue and Enugu states, had disrupted daily life and crippled businesses.

The electricity supply came back on at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, sparking jubilation in Jos, Plateau State’s capital.

Residents, who had grown frustrated with the extended power cut, welcomed the restoration with widespread relief.

The prolonged blackout had halted economic activities, affecting daily life in the affected states.

With electricity restored, communities are now resuming normal activities, breathing a sigh of relief.

Jos Electricity Distribution’s swift action has mitigated the impact of the outage, demonstrating their commitment to reliable power supply.

The restoration of electricity marks a significant return to normalcy for residents, revitalizing businesses, hospitals, schools, and homes.
