Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has lavished praise on his players after their gritty 1-0 win over Katsina United on Monday night.

The victory ended a five-game winless streak for the Oluyole Warriors.

Adam Mustapha’s 68th-minute strike sealed the three points, and Ogunbote credited his team’s determination as the decisive factor.

“Katsina United was equally determined, but our fighting spirit made the difference,” Ogunbote said in a post-match interview with the club’s media. “Their players showed they were playing for their coach, but we had an unwavering resolve to win.”

Ogunbote acknowledged Katsina United’s strong display, saying, “It was a good game; they gave it their all. However, our determination and resilience ultimately paid off.”

The Oluyole Warriors will look to build on this momentum when they host Akwa United in their next league fixture on Sunday.
