Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State has been sworn in again for a second term today, 14th February 2024.
Diri who started his first tenure on the 14th of February 2020 after a Supreme Court verdict sacking his biggest rival, Chief David Lyon.
Diri defeated Chief Timipre Sylva from the All Progressives Congress and Udengs Eradiri of the Labour Party in the Nov. 11 2023 elections.
