Senate to go on recess after receiving N27 trillion budget from Tinubu

The Senate has just disclosed that it will embark on a recess starting from the 1st of December 2023.

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio made the announcement after receiving the budget presented by the President.

Senator Akpabio however revealed that members of the senate will reconvene by December 12th, where members will hear the defense of budgets from Ministries, Departments and agencies.

The Senate President also emphasized that the National Assembly is ready to work directly with the executive to ensure a smooth implementation.

His words:

“our legislative agenda reflects our dedication to the Nigerian people, and we look forward to achieving remarkable milestones for our great nation under your purposeful leadership.”
