Former Kanduna Senator, Shehu Sani has highlighted for landmark decisions of former President Goodluck Jonathan that may never be replicated again.
Shehu Sani while eulogizing Jonathan via his official X account revealed that he appoint a man he never knew or had never met as National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
In his words:
“There are four things ex-President Jonathan did that may not be repeated by any other President in the nearest future: APPOINTED an Inec chairman he never knew and never met”,
According to the former lawmaker, Jonathan has introduced a data driven technology system to Nigerian elections, an innovation that eventually removed him from office.
The former lawmaker also said Jonathan gave liberty to candidate in the opposition to nominate an INEC commissioner.
Sani also opined that while the former president may have disagreed with the election, he still called his opponent, to offer his congratulations.
An act which saved the country in its critical and crucial moment.
