The famed viral dancers known as the Happie Boys have been deported back to Nigeria after a year of being sent on scholarship to Cyprus by popular pastor, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.

The lads made news in 2022 when Apostle Chinyere came to their aid, allowing them the chance to pursue their aspirations after they were fired from their jobs due to their love of dance.

Happie Boys Reportedly Arrested in Cyprus, remanded in prison

This uplifting narrative took an unexpected turn when it was revealed that the Happie Boys had run across problems while living overseas, resulting in their eventual deportation back to Nigeria.

The initial excitement of the scholarship offer appears to have faded as they allegedly fell out with Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.

The reason for their disagreement is unknown, however social media rumours say that the Happie Boys began living a “unseemly” lifestyle in Cyprus, which worried their patron, Apostle Chinyere Chibuzor.

To address the matter, it was revealed that the boys were imprisoned in Cyprus.

Apostle Chinyere Chibuzor dispatched his legal team to work on winning the young men’s release, demonstrating his dedication to their well-being.

According to recent reports, the Happie Boys have been deported to Nigeria and are now live in the capital city of Abuja.

News of their return has caused a stir on social media platforms, with many followers of their journey expressing relief and curiosity.

A netizen shared the news of their return on X (formerly Twitter).

The post read; “BREAKING: Happie Boys deported to Nigeria from Cyprus, they arrived in Nigeria last night and are in one hotel in Utako, Abuja.”
