The President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has refuted speculations that he created an office for his wife, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, in the National Assembly.
Akpabio who described the rumor as illogic” and “originating from a well known diseased minded author.” Made the rebuttal via his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon Eseme Eyiboh
Eyiboh opined that the story was created to malign and discredit the image of the Senate President.
He pointed out that a story of 20 paragraphs on the creation of an imaginary office for the wife of the Senate President uses three paragraphs on the unfounded issue and the remaining 17 paragraphs to recitation of unrelated fables and other innuendo.
“For emphasis to the unguarded who may be prone to the fake news merchandise from Saharareporters, Her Excellency, Mrs Ekaette Unoma Akpabio has no office in the National Assembly and there is no intention towards that,” Eyiboh said.
He however revealed that the only relationship Mrs Ekaette has with the National Assembly is her office as President of the Senators Wives Association of Nigeria.
