President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi, has donated the sum of N15 million to Liam Aloba, son of late Nigerian singer, ‘Mohbad’.
Olusegun Dada, the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, announced the donation on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Seyi Tinubu was praised by Dada, who posted a receipt of the N15 million transaction on his handle. Dada called Seyi Tinubu a “apple that didn’t fall far from the tree” and thanked him for his kind gesture.
The act demonstrates the Tinubu family’s dedication to helping talented people in the Nigerian music sector.
Dada claims that the hashtag “#RIPMohbad” was also used to express sympathy for Mohbad.
Seyi Tinubu’s kind donation was noted in Dada’s tweet, but it was also emphasised how important it is for the Tinubu family to continue supporting creative people in the Nigerian music industry.
Fans and other musicians have been expressing their sorrow and paying tribute to Mohbad, who passed away in questionable circumstances.
His untimely passing has left a vacuum in the music business and served as a reminder of the transience of life and the value of encouraging and developing future talent.
