Following the Judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, the Labour Party and its candidate have approached the Supreme Court.

Peter Obi filed a 51 count notice to appeal the verdict of the PEPT.

This is in view to seek a possible cancellation of the February 25 Presidential elections and nullify the election of the candidate of the All Progressive Congress.

The tribunal has dismissed Peter Obi’s petition of electoral malpractice on the grounds that he was unable to prove the particular polling units being tampered with.

In Obi’s appeal, he stated that the conclusion of the tribunal was not satisfactory.

OBI further noted that the Justices, rather stated that the details of the polling units are contained in the Spreadsheets and Forensic Analysis Reports which they have incorporated and made part of their pleadings by reference.
