The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has declared his willingness to accept his long time political opponent, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), if he ever decides to join the APC.

Ganduje said this was a good time for his predecessor and former boss, to rejoin the APC again. he also threw shades at his former boss, adding that he was once a minister of defense without having any idea about defense or security, he also said Kwakwaso was once a minister without any impact in his senatorial district.

The immediate past governor of Kano State disclosed this in a chat with media organizations in Kano, adding that joining the APC was now an easier route for Kwakwaso since his statesman was now in charge of the party. in his words,

“Nobody will say Kwankwaso is not a good politician, as he was a two-term governor in Kano State, despite disruptions, a former minister of defense, even though he had no idea what defense is, and he was once a senator, even though he never contributed anything throughout his stay in the Senate,” Ganduje said.

“But, if he is willing to decamp to APC, our door is open, especially now that someone from his state is the party chairman, it will be easier for him to lobby.”

Asked why Kwankwaso’s name was missing in Tinubu’s ministerial nominees, Ganduje said the appointment issue was first heard from Kwankwaso, not President Tinubu himself.

Cyperreporters recalls that Ganduje was Kwankwaso’s deputy when he was Kano state governor between 1999 to 2003 and in 2011 to 2015.

The duo, have been at logger heads since the inception of Ganduje’s second tenure in 2019.
