Former Premier League player and manager, Tim Sherwood, has named Chelsea boss, Liam Rosenior as the next manager to be sacked in the Premier League.
He said that Chelsea will terminate Rosenior’s contract following the 3-0 loss to Brighton on Tuesday evening.
Brighton emerged as worthy victors at the Amex Stadium, with goals scored by Ferdi Kadioglu, Jack Hinshelwood, and Danny Welbeck.
This defeat signifies that Chelsea has now experienced five league losses without finding the back of the net for the first time since 1912.
In the second half, Chelsea fans voiced their discontent towards the club’s BlueCo ownership and demanded Rosenior’s dismissal.
Despite Chelsea’s assertion that there are no intentions to relieve Rosenior of his duties, Sherwood believes that the 41-year-old is likely to be let go from Stamford Bridge.
“It is an extremely challenging task for any manager to step in and alter the atmosphere because these Chelsea supporters have been raised on winning trophies, the most prestigious trophies, alongside the greatest players. It’s a development club.” He told Sky Sports
Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend and are now doubtful of securing a Champions League place next season.
