Turkish football transfer analyst, Süleyman Rodop has revealed Victor Osimhen’s determination to play against Liverpool despite an ankle ligament injury.
According to Rodop, Osimhen had painkiller injections to manage his pain before the match.
Cyber Reporters reports that Osimhen’s penalty in the first half secured a 1-0 win for Galatasaray over Liverpool at Rams Park.
The Injury occurred during a World Cup qualifier against Rwanda while Osimhen was on international duty with Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Despite the setback, Rodop disclosed Osimhen was adamant about playing in the Champions League match, saying, “I have to play in this match, I will play with injections if necessary.”
Rodop’s statement sheds light on Osimhen’s commitment to his team.
Now, the focus shifts to Galatasaray’s upcoming fixture against Beşiktaş in the Süper Lig this weekend.
The decision on whether Osimhen will play in the match will be made in the coming days.
Galatasaray will be looking to continue their winning streak against Beşiktaş, and Osimhen’s availability will be a key factor in their strategy.
