Uganda captain, Khalid Aucho has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete with Nigeria’s Super Eagles and other opponents at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

Cyber Reporters reports that the Cranes are grouped with Nigeria, Tunisia, and Tanzania in Group C.

Despite being considered underdogs, Aucho believes Uganda has the strength to take on any team in the group.

“Being at AFCON means you’re strong enough to compete with any team,” he said. “I know my boys, and they will deliver. We want to make our fans happy.”

Uganda will begin their campaign against Tunisia on December 23 and face Nigeria in their final group game on December 30.

Coach Paul Put’s team is determined to make a strong impression at the tournament.

Aucho’s comments reflect the team’s determination and confidence ahead of the competition. The Cranes will be looking to upset the favorites and make a deep run in the tournament.

Uganda’s preparations for the AFCON are underway, and the team is focused on delivering a strong performance.

With Aucho leading the charge, the Cranes are ready to take on the best teams in Africa.
