Tyrell Malacia’s promising start to his Manchester United career has been derailed by a serious knee injury.

Cyber Reporters reports that the 25-year-old Dutchman had a stellar debut season, culminating in a Carabao Cup victory.

However, his fortunes took a turn for the worse when he suffered a horrific knee injury at the end of that campaign.

Malacia underwent surgery and was ruled out for 18 months. He made a long-awaited return to the pitch in November, but has only managed five appearances since.

Despite his efforts to regain his form, it appears that Malacia’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain.

Cyber Reporters gathered that Malacia will leave Manchester United in the coming days. The club and manager Ruben Amorim have reportedly informed Malacia that he is free to seek a new club this month.

As a result, Malacia is expected to depart on loan for the remainder of the season.

Amorim’s preference for Diogo Dalot as his left-wingback has limited Malacia’s opportunities.

Noussair Mazraoui is also an option for the position, further diminishing Malacia’s chances of regular playing time.

Malacia’s impending departure marks a disappointing turn of events for the talented defender.

His Manchester United career, which began with such promise, appears to be on the brink of collapse.
