Tragedy struck at the Dakin Gari Orientation Camp in Kebbi State as a female National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, Tayachibiyacha Ebal, suddenly slumped and died.

According to reports, Ebal suddenly slumped and was immediately rushed to the camp clinic for medical attention.

Despite efforts to revive her, she was later transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin-Kebbi, for advanced medical care.

Unfortunately, Ebal succumbed to death at the medical centre, despite the efforts of the medical team to resuscitate her.

The cause of her death has not been disclosed.

The Kebbi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Muhammad Fingila, confirmed the incident and described it as unfortunate.

He extended condolences to Ebal’s family on behalf of the state government and disclosed that her remains had been sent back to Adamawa State.

The NYSC Kebbi State office has yet to release an official statement on the incident.

The sudden death of the corps member has sent shockwaves through the NYSC community, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death may be conducted.
