Fulham defender, Calvin Bassey has expressed his disappointment with the team’s 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Despite the Cottagers showing significant improvement from their previous 4-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bassey felt they deserved more from the match.

The game saw Tottenham dominate possession, but Fulham created more meaningful goal-scoring opportunities.

The turning point came in the 54th minute when Brennan Johnson scored a stunning strike to give Tottenham the lead.

However, Fulham responded well, with Alex Iwobi setting up captain Tom Carney to score the equalizer just 13 minutes later.

The match took a dramatic turn when Carney received a red card just seven minutes before the final whistle, leaving Fulham to finish the match with ten players.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Fulham’s defense held strong, and they managed to secure a hard-earned point.

In a post-match interview, Bassey reflected on the game, stating that Fulham deserved more from the match.

He praised Tottenham’s goalkeeper, Fraser Forster, for making incredible saves that denied Fulham a win.

Bassey also expressed his disappointment with the timing of Carney’s red card, which he felt could have changed the outcome of the game.

Despite the disappointing result, Bassey remained optimistic, highlighting Fulham’s improved performance and their ability to manage the game well despite being down to ten players.

He noted that Fulham did not concede a late goal, which has been a recurring issue for the team in previous matches.
