Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, William Troost-Ekong, Paul Onuachu, and Asisat Oshoala have been nominated for the prestigious 2024 Best FIFA Awards.

This recognition is a testament to their outstanding performances in the world of football.

Lookman who plays for Atalanta, has been nominated for the Best Attacker award.

The 27-year-old finished 14th in the Ballon d’or ranking and is also a strong contender for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.

Troost-Ekong, a center-back, is in the running for the Best Defender award. He was named the Most Valuable Player, MVP, at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Paul Onuachu, a forward, has been nominated for the Puskas Award, which recognizes the best goal of the year.

His impressive goal against Konyaspor in the 2023-24 Super Lig on November 10, 2023, during his loan at Trabzonspor, was shortlisted.

Asisat Oshoala, a Super Falcons forward, has been nominated for the newly introduced FIFA Marta award, which recognizes the best goal of the year.
