France defender, Ibrahima Konate has spoken out on the absence of team captain Kylian Mbappe Cyber Reporters reports.

Ahead of their UEFA Nations League clash with Italy, Konate expressed confidence in the team’s ability to succeed without their star player.

Mbappe has been left out of the French squad for the second consecutive international window and despite his importance, Konate believes France can thrive without him.

“Obviously, France can succeed without Mbappe,” Konate stated in a press conference.

He acknowledged Mbappe’s contributions but emphasized the team’s capability to win without him.

Konate’s comments come ahead of France’s match against Italy today, Sunday. The two teams have already secured qualification for the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals, but the encounter will determine the group’s top spot.

France’s recent performances without Mbappe have been impressive. In October, they defeated Belgium and Israel, scoring six goals in the process.

Konate, who plays for Liverpool, highlighted the team’s adaptability and collective strength. His comments underscore France’s determination to succeed, regardless of Mbappe’s absence.

Coach Didier Deschamps will look to replicate the team’s past successes without Mbappe.

With a strong squad at his disposal, Deschamps will aim to outmaneuver Italy and secure the top spot in their group.

Sunday’s match against Italy will be a crucial test for France without Mbappe.

Konate’s confidence and the team’s recent performances suggest they are well-equipped to handle the challenge and emerge victorious.
