Chelsea announced that youngster, Kendry Paez has left the Blues to join River Plate on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Premier League west London club had recalled Paez from Strasbourg before the player joined the Argentine side.

An agreement was reached for the 18-year-old to end his spell at the French Ligue 1 side.

Paez scored once in 15 Ligue 1 matches in the first half of the campaign for Strasbourg.

He also played five times for them in the UEFA Conference League this season.

Paez has seven years remaining on his Chelsea contract after joining the Blues from Independiente del Valle last year.

He is expected to get more first-team experience and regular playing game-time in the second half of the season in a bid to boost his chances in Chelsea’s squad next season.
