Chelsea, is said to have started discussions to bring in Feyenoord’s striker, Anis Hadj-Moussa, this January.

The Paris-born winger made a strong impression with his standout performances in a few key matches during the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria, but his team was beaten by Nigeria in the quarter-finals this weekend.

Hadj-Moussa has had a strong beginning to the season at his club, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in 23 games for Feyenoord.

A French newspaper, Foot Mercato, said that Hadj-Moussa’s performance in the Africa Cup of Nations has made him very popular among European football fans, and Chelsea is the newest team that has shown interest in him.

It is said that the Club World Cup winners have started looking into a potential transfer this winter, and a meeting happened between Hadj-Moussa’s agent, Mohamed Dahmane, and the people in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea chiefs are looking for new players to add to their team of young talents and have reportedly included Hadj-Moussa in their list of potential transfers.

Feyenoord have been told about Chelsea’s interest in signing him. The report also mentions that a transfer in January is still possible if Chelsea makes a ‘satisfactory’ offer that works for everyone involved.

Marseille is also said to be very interested in Hadj Moussa, and it’s thought the forward might agree to join the team at the Stade Velodrome this month.

Hadj Moussa is a graduate of Lens’ academy and has already played for five different clubs in his career, even though he will turn 24 next month.

The Algerian’s contract in Rotterdam is active until June 2030.
