The shot stopper was said to have gotten the injury during the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs last month.

The 29-year-old has not featured for Chippa United since returning from the mini-tournament.

Chippa United head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi is also uncertain Nwabali will be available for the AFCON.

I don’t think he will make it, but when I was talking to him, he was confident that he will recover very soon,” he was quoted by SuperSport.
