Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have provided an injury update on Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen sustained a hamstring injury in Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs final against Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday night.

The 26-year-old was replaced at half-time by Jerome Adams Akor.

Osimhen underwent an MRI scan after returning to Turkey.

Galatasaray released an update on the striker’s fitness on their official website on Wednesday.

In the MRI examination performed today at our sponsor hospital Acıbadem, our football player Victor Osimhen, a moderate level of strain (strain and bleeding) was detected in his left posterior muscle and treatment has been started,” reads the statement.

Osimhen is expected to miss Galatasaray’s clash with Gençlerbirliği on Saturday.
