Italian football scout and recruitment expert Maurizio Micheli has agreed to join Arsenal as part of the recruitment team under director, Andrea Berta.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal between both parties is set to be formally sealed soon.

Micheli, head of the scouting department at Napoli, did an excellent job at the Serie A champions in recent years.

However, the 57-year-old is set to leave with the Serie A club for the Gunners imminently.

Micheli has built a strong reputation during his time in Italy, and he is seen as one of the architects behind much of Napoli’s recent success.
