Former Chelsea and Belgium star Eden Hazard has been officially inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, joining Manchester United legend Gary Neville as the two new entrants selected for the 2025 class by the league’s existing 24 Hall of Fame members.
Hazard, widely regarded as one of the most electrifying attackers of his generation, spent seven seasons at Chelsea from 2012 to 2019, where he established himself as one of the league’s most influential players.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, the Belgian forward made 245 Premier League appearances, scoring 85 goals and providing 54 assists. He helped Chelsea win two Premier League titles, two Europa League trophies, an FA Cup, and a League Cup, earning the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award in 2015.
Speaking on his induction, Hazard reflected on his journey from humble beginnings to the pinnacle of English football.
“I grew up playing football for fun, with my brothers in the back garden, but my dream was always to play at the highest level,” Hazard said.
He added, “It means a lot to join the Premier League Hall of Fame. I’m very proud to join this group of players, and I think we could make a good squad!”
The Premier League Hall of Fame, established in 2021, celebrates players and managers who have made exceptional contributions to the league since its inception in 1992.
Hazard retired from professional football in 2023 after an illustrious career that also included memorable spells at Lille and Real Madrid, as well as 126 international caps for Belgium.
