Super Eagles will open camp for the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs on Sunday, November 9.

This will be five days before they open their playoffs campaign against the Panthers of Gabon.

The venue of the game is yet to be named by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Head coach Eric Chelle is expected to release his squad for the game by the end of the month.

Cameroon will face Gabon in the other semi-final.

The overall winners will advance to the intercontinental playoffs in March in Mexico.

Former international, Victor Ikpeba also spoke on the it is important for the Super Eagles to grab the chance to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup through the playoffs.

Eric Chelle’s side failed to secure automatic qualification to the mundial despite a convincing 4-0 home victory over Benin Republic last week.

The three-time African champions, however, did enough to earn a place in the playoffs having finished second in Group C behind the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
