Chelsea’s Palmer Sidelined Till November Due to Groin Injury

Chelsea player, Cole Palmer is anticipated to be sidelined for several more weeks due to a persistent groin issue, with a return unlikely until November.

Following his injury challenge, Palmer was substituted out only 21 minutes into the loss to Manchester United on September 20. As a result, he missed the subsequent three matches versus Brighton, Benfica, and Liverpool.

After the Club World Cup, he had developed the issue during Chelsea’s shortened pre-season, causing him to miss the matches against Fulham and West Ham in August.

This implies that he has been limited to only four appearances across all competitions this season, with just one full 90-minute match in the Premier League on the opening day.
He was not named in the England squad for this international break and head coach Thomas Tuchel admitted “the groin issue is a very dangerous one to become chronic”.

If Palmer returns for the game at Tottenham on November 1, live on Sky, he will have been out for six weeks.

Currently he is set to miss Chelsea’s trip to Nottingham Forest, a Champions League fixture against Ajax as well as clashes against Wolves and Sunderland.
