Arsenal has offered David Raya an upgraded deal earlier this summer.

Report stated that his wages were increased, but the duration of the contract – until 2028 with a one-year option – remained the same as the previous one.

It was agreed upon earlier this year but not announced by the club, and it was done to reflect his importance to the team.

Arsenal is also understood to have made a similar move with Leandro Trossard’s contract earlier this year; improving the Belgian’s salary but keeping the length of his deal the same until 2027.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said last week that he is hopeful Jurrien Timber will extend his contract.

William Saliba, Gabriel, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have all recently signed new deals at the club.
