Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has rewarded Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, with $15,000 for their impressive 4-0 victory over Rwanda in their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying match.
Cyber Reporters reports that governor Makinde announced the cash gift during a visit to the team after the game, recognizing their outstanding performance.
The Falconets dominated the match, with Precious Oscar, Tumininu Adeshina, Janet Akekoromowei, and Alaba Olabiyi scoring the goals that sealed a convincing win.
With this victory, the Falconets won the two-legged contest 5-0 on aggregate, showcasing their strength and determination.
