Brazilian football superstar Neymar has shared his thoughts on the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
Neymar has voiced strong disapproval over the final rankings of the men’s Ballon d’Or, calling Raphinha’s fifth-place finish a “joke” on Instagram.
The prestigious award was won by Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele.
The final top five saw Dembele finish ahead of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and PSG teammate Vitinha, with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in fourth and Barcelona’s Raphinha rounding out the list.
Raphinha had a record-breaking Champions League campaign, amassing 13 goals and eight assists as Barcelona reached the semi-finals.
Ousmane Dembele, who was initially signed by Barcelona as a replacement for Neymar in 2017, has undergone a dramatic transformation since his 2023 move to PSG.
Under the guidance of manager Luis Enrique, the 28-year-old has evolved into a complete forward, blending defensive work rate with a prolific goal-scoring record.
Last season, he scored 35 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions, finishing as the top scorer in Ligue 1 as PSG secured the title, as well as being hugely instrumental in their UEFA Champions League win.
