The Super Eagles of Nigeria have experienced a slight setback in the latest FIFA men’s ranking, dropping one spot to 45th position globally.

This change reflects the team’s current standing in the international football landscape.

Cyber Reporters reports that in the African context, Nigeria has slipped to sixth position.

The Super Eagles have been working hard to regain its former glory, but the latest ranking suggests there is still room for improvement.

Morocco continues to lead the pack in Africa, ranked 11th globally.

The Atlas Lions have been impressive in recent times, and their ranking reflects their growing strength in international football.

Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Côte d’Ivoire follow closely, rounding out the top five African teams.

The Super Eagles’ recent performances in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers have been mixed.

They secured a 1-0 win over Rwanda in Uyo and held South Africa to a 1-1 draw in Bloemfontein.

Globally, Spain has taken the top spot in the latest FIFA ranking, ending Argentina’s two-year reign.

Slovakia has made a significant jump, climbing 10 places in the rankings.

As the football world continues to evolve, teams will be working hard to improve their standings and make their mark on the sport.
