Arsenal secured a narrow victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season.
Both teams came into the game looking for their first win of the season after an impressive preseason performance.
Mikel Arteta’s side made several recuritments this summer, with the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres and other coming into the side.
Same can be said for Manchester united manager Ruben Amorim who brought in three attacking players this summer. However, they still lost 1-0 at home to the set-pieces king Arsenal.
Ruben Amorim gave debuts to Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo while striker Benjamin Sesko was on the bench. On the other hand, Mikel Arteta kept fans happy by naming Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi in the starting line-up.
Manchester United piled pressure on Arsenal in the first 10 minutes and created a few chances, testing David Raya, but it was the set-piece king’s that took the lead.
