Nigeria’s Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has agreed a move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain, in what marks a significant step forward in her club career.

The 24-year-old winger departs Spanish side Atlético Madrid following the expiration of her contract in June, bringing to an end a successful stint in Liga F. Renowned for her pace, creativity, and leadership, Ajibade has been a central figure in Nigerian football in recent years.

Her transfer to PSG will see her become the second Nigerian international in the current squad, joining midfielder Jennifer Echegini, who has already made her mark in the French capital.

Despite interest from several clubs in the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), PSG have secured Ajibade’s signature as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Ajibade recently captained Nigeria to a historic 10th Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) title in Morocco, where she was named Player of the Tournament , an accolade that further underlined her influence and exceptional form on the international stage.

Her arrival in Paris is expected to bolster PSG’s domestic and European ambitions, as the club continues its pursuit of a maiden UEFA Women’s Champions League title.
