Hulk Hogan, one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling history, has died at the age of 71.

The WWE Hall of Famer, born Terry Gene Bollea, passed away in the early hours of Thursday, 24 July, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Emergency services responded to a distress call, and paramedics were seen at the scene before Hogan was transported to hospital on a stretcher. His official cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) confirmed the news in a statement:
“WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

Hogan rose to prominence in the 1980s, becoming the face of the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) after defeating the Iron Sheik to win the heavyweight title — a victory that ignited the global phenomenon known as “Hulkamania.” Known for his patriotic persona and entrance music “Real American,” Hogan embodied American wrestling’s golden era.

In 1988, he famously lost the title to Andre the Giant in a widely watched match, and later left the WWF in the early 1990s amid controversy over performance-enhancing drugs.

Outside the ring, Hogan pursued a film and television career, appearing in Rocky III (1982), Suburban Commando (1991), Mr. Nanny (1993), and Santa with Muscles (1996), among other projects.

He joined rival promotion World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1994, reinventing himself as “Hollywood Hogan” and becoming a central figure in the New World Order (nWo) storyline. He returned to WWE in the early 2000s, further cementing his legacy.

Hogan, who grew up in Florida, remains one of the most influential figures in wrestling history, known for his charisma, signature bandana, and catchphrases like “Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?”

He is survived by his children and longtime partner Sky Daily.  We will forever remember your good legacies and memories .. Rest in Power ‘the great Hulk ‘ .
